EDITORIAL POLICY

 

Colombia Report will post articles and materials according to the following six guidelines:


  1. All text and materials should be concerned mainly with the promotion of Colombia's sovereignty, the development of democracy, the strengthening of the international market, the defense of national production, and the strengthening of Colombian ties with all nations on the basis of equality and mutual respect.

  2. Texts and materials that promote the well-being of Colombians living abroad, and the resolution of their legal status are welcome.

  3. The editors will consider articles that generate a positive, truthful and thorough view of Colombian history and culture.

  4. It will be editorial policy of Colombia Report to post materials that promote the respect of democratic liberties in Colombia, the observance of civilized procedures in political struggles, the critique of authoritarianism, and the respect for constitutional norms by the government.

  5. It is the policy of the Editorial Board to reject terrorism, kidnappings, extortion and all acts of violence and arbitrariness which have plagued the country.  The Editorial Board stands for negotiated political solutions to armed conflicts.

  6. Colombia Report supports labor struggles aimed at the improvement of worker's welfare and the defense of national sovereignty.
